Our dear sister Debbie Yoshimura, 55, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born on February 27, 1959 to Dai and Sumi Yoshimura of Roy, Utah.  She graduated from Roy High in 1977 and worked at Hill Air Force Base for 37 years as a F16 requirements control officer.

Debbie was loved and a joy to all who knew her. Known for her contagious laughter, she brought wit and fun to everything she did and to everyone she met.  She loved her family and friends and enjoyed sharing in the activities of her six nieces and nephews, whom she spoiled dearly.

“She will be greatly missed, but remembered in our hearts.”

She is at peace and has joined her parents, Dai and Sumi Yoshimura and her dearly loved dog, “Fuji”.

Debbie is survived by her brother, Blaine (Suzan) Yoshimura and children, Kristin and Daley; and sisters, Patsy (Ron) Shintani and children, Justin and Melissa; and Robyn (Bart) Hirabayashi and children, Bryson and Colton.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Buddhist Church of Ogden, 155 North St.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary.
