Deborah Ann Ben LAYTON – On October 29, 2011, Deborah Ann Ben finished the race that she had run with perseverance; she ran in such a way that she has won the prize that He had set aside for her until this day. Born to Charles and Grace Ross, February 6, 1952, in Angus, Ontario, Canada. Married in 1973, to Walter A. Ben Jr. A member of Washington Heights Church, she was involved in the Women’s Ministry, quilting, tole painting, golfing and spending time with her grandchildren. Her father, mother and her husband preceded her in death. Surviving are her six children: Adrian, Andrew, Lamont, Kamilla, Latasha, and Cicely; seventeen grandchildren and her four siblings: Jim Ross, Dave Ross, Laura Larsen, and Diana Ross. A memorial service will be held November 3, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. at Washington Heights Church, 1720 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Ut., with a reception following directly after. Family will be available to visit an hour before the service begins. “Now onto Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Eph. 3:20-21. Services have been entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
