Deborah Kae Jones

Deborah Kae Jones, 56, passed away peacefully in her home on September 10, 2017; ending an eight-year battle with breast cancer.  She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing.

Deborah was born July 25, 1961, to Pamela B. Walker and Jerry Johnson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended school in Bountiful, Utah, and graduated from Viewmont High School.  Deborah married Edwin L. Jones in 1983.  They were sealed as eternal companions in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Deborah was employed by the Internal Revenue Services, and temporarily left the workforce to raise her three children, Benjamin, Daniel, and Amanda.  She later returned to employment, serving in several positions with Davis County School District.   For the last twenty years, Deborah was employed as a K-6th computer teacher at Columbia Elementary in Kaysville, Utah.  Deborah also held various callings in her LDS Ward.

We will remember Deborah and her love of summer camping trips, reading, and playing the piano.  We will also remember her unending dedication to her children.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Edwin Jones; father, Jerry Johnson; mother, Pamela B. Walker, sisters, Sue (Curtis) LeCates and Suzanne Morgan; and children: Benjamin (Natalie) Jones, Daniel (Amanda) Jones, and Amanda Jones.

Deborah is preceded in death by her sister, Christine J. Clontz; dad, Bobby J. Walker; and mom, Colleen Johnson.
