Dee Ezra Bambrough, 84, passed away on Sunday November 26, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He fought a valiant battle with congestive heart failure and Type II Diabetes.

He was born on February 6, 1933, in Ogden, Utah to Ezra Stark and Edna Venstra Bambrough.

On April 4, 1964, he married Ilene Jaques in Elko, Nevada.

He attended Davis High School. Upon the tragic death of his father, he then moved and graduated from Weber High School in 1951.

He was drafted into the Army and served in the Korean War. He received military honors for his outstanding and exemplary conduct in the performance of his duties. He was chosen as Soldier of the Month in his Field Artillery Battalion.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired after 34 years of service.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, horse racing, Sudoku puzzles, playing Pai Gow, and creating a vegetable garden. He had a special knack for fishing. He always seemed to be able to catch fish when no one else could. He enjoyed teaching his sons and grandsons the patience for fishing.

Dee is survived by his loving wife of 53 years; his children, Rick (Debbie) Burnett, Tammy (Robert) Fowers, and Kyle (Peggie) Bambrough; 9 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; brother, Don (Nadine) Bambrough; sister-in-law, Judy (Boyd deceased) Bambrough.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Boyd Bambrough; and a grandson, Troy Fowers.

Dee, dad, and grandpa, you will be dearly missed and forever loved.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff of Brighton Home Health and Hospice and cardiologists, Dr. John and Dr. Lund.

As per his wishes, he requested no funeral services, Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
