Dee was born in Washington DC the son of Dee Glenn Brown and Ruth Nuttall.
He was raised in the Provo Utah vicinity and attended public schools.
On December 2, 1960, Dee married Renee Duke from Heber City, Utah. Their marriage was witnessed in the Salt Lake Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon the completion of his degree at USU (Logan, Utah), the family moved to Farmington, Utah. They resided primarily in Kaysville Utah where he and Renee raised five children.
He was employed at Viewmont High School (Bountiful, Utah) for three decades as an art educator. He was a lifetime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day- Saints. He served with Renee as a local Stake Missionary. He was a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and a Boy Scouts of America Scout Master for many years. He was the proud father and grandfather of badge decorated Scouts and Eagle Scouts.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, friends, family, camping, and family vacations. He truly loved gardening and all things creative. He was a master potter and gardener in many aspects, and lived much of his life fostering creativity in self and others.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael, and wife Renee Duke. He is survived by his sister Diana (Julian) Mercer, brother Richard (June), and his five children: Roland (Laurie), Rachelle, Lavel, Pam (Bob) Feick and Dee Anna. He has 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday May 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 201 South 600 East. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 11:30 to 1:30 at the church.
Interment-Kaysville City Cemetery.
