Dee Jay Christensen

Dee Jay Christensen, our beloved husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, friend, and veteran of the Vietnam war, passed away on the morning of March 8th, 2014.We will forever miss Dee’s kind heart and loving ways. He was a good neighbor and a special friend to all who knew him.

Dee is survived by his angel wife, Tami, who cared for him right up until the end.  She misses her “sweet boy” more than words can say.  They always worked together as a team. They were happily together for 26 years.

Also surviving Dee are his sister Marilyn (Swede); son Brett (Michelle); daughter Jenifer (Wade); step-daughters Heather  (Shane), and Nichole (Eric); five granddaughters, five grandsons, and numerous other family members.

Dee retired after 40 years with the Union Pacific Railroad.  Dee was very creative and gifted with his hands.  After retiring, he spent countless hours beautifying and perfecting his dream home and gardens. Dee was a hard worker and always willing to do whatever was necessary to get the job done.  Dee had a true love for camping and being in nature.

He was preceded in death by his father Jay in 2008 and by his mother Blanche in January of this year.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and other professionals of the University of Utah CVICU, CVMU, Brighton Clinic, AirMed, and the Brighton Ski Patrol. They are without a doubt some of the most competent, professional, and truly compassionate individuals in their field.
