Dee Phillips Durrant, 84, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at his home. He was born September 4, 1930 to John Thomas and Mary Ruby Phillips Durrant. He married LuElla Lewis on May 26, 1956.
Dee served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked at Defense Depot Ogden for 35 years, and his favorite job as bus driver for Davis School District for 13 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and camping. A lifelong servant of God in the LDS Church, Dee served with his wife, LuElla, in the Roanoke, VA Mission.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, LuElla; daughters Cindy (Keith) Wheelwright, Vickie (Ken) Reid, Kathy (James) Fults, Michelle Durrant; son-in-law Matt Roberts (husband of Denise, deceased); 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, son Johnny Dee Durrant, daughter Denise Roberts, grandson Brady and two great-grandchildren, Bailie and Grayson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse Homestead Ward, 2339 W. 1900 South. Friends may visit with the family Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
