DEEANN BENCH BRITTON

1937-2017

 DeeAnn Bench Britton, passed away peacefully in her home February 21, 2017, with many family members at her bedside in Woods Cross, Utah.  She was born on April 8, 1937 in Logan, Utah and was reared by her loving parents, Thomas L. Bench and Geraldine Leavitt in Ogden, Utah.  She married Jerry Raymond Britton September 5, 1953.  They were later sealed for time and eternity April 20, 1966 in the Logan Utah Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her professional career included working as Account Manager at Tracy Collins Bank, however her greatest accomplishment was found in her home.  DeeAnn was a wonderful mother to her four children; she was a perfect matriarch.  She found great joy in loving and nurturing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and created a family culture that has and will continue to bless generations.  With a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, she faithfully served in many callings in the church.  Some of these include full-time missionary service with her husband at the Centerville Dry Pack Cannery and in the Palmyra New York Temple.  She also loved serving in the Bountiful Utah Temple as an ordinance worker for 15 years, where she forged many meaningful friendships.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.  She is survived by her children, Rick (Rauline), Sue (Dave) Rotert, Michell (Jerry) Madsen, Scott, 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  Mom, we love you and you will be greatly missed.

Her family extends a special thank you to Angie, Martha, Mia, Braden, Sunny, Beth and Valerie, of Brighton Hospice, who treated her with the utmost dignity and loving care.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at the Woods Cross Stake Center, 2068 S. 800 W. Woods Cross, UT.  Friends and family may visit Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the Stake Center. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
