DeeAnn Colbree & Keegan Colbree

DeeAnn Colbree (53), and son Keegan Colbree (16), both of Layton, Utah, were tragically taken August 5, 2015 in an auto accident as they were heading home from a family vacation.

DeeAnn was born on September 18, 1961 in Bountiful, Utah, and married her best friend, Brian Colbree in 1999.  Together they had two beautiful children, Keegan and Katie.  DeeAnn was a kind, loving, and devoted wife and mother, who brought much joy into the lives she touched.   DeeAnn worked for many years as an HR director with Kennecott Copper and Dyno Nobel.  She loved crafts and music, especially John Denver.  She spent the last several years at home, enjoying time with her family.  She loved to read and enjoyed her Monday Movie date night each week.  She loved running the Book Fair at the elementary each year.

Keegan was born March 4, 1999 in Layton, Utah.  He attended Northridge High School and was just preparing to begin his junior year.  Keegan loved everything about the outdoors, scouting, mountain biking, skiing, and fishing.  He loved his dogs, and hanging out with his friends and cousins.

DeeAnn and Keegan were deeply loved and they touched many lives.  They will be greatly missed.

DeeAnn and Keegan are survived by husband/ father, Brian, and daughter/ sister, Katie.  They are also survived by DeeAnn's family; brother/uncle, Richard Howell (Shauna), sisters/aunts Cathy Palmer and Jody Watts (Bill), and many other loving family members.  They are also survived by Brian's family; parents/grandparents, Ward and Lorraine Colbree, siblings, Diane Casella (Louis) and David Colbree (Jackie) and many cousins. They were preceded in death by DeeAnn's parents, Dee and Barbara Howell (Keegan's grandparents).

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends are invited to join us in a celebration to honor the lives of DeeAnn and Keegan on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
