DeeAnn H. Larsen PLAIN CITY – DeeAnn Hadley Larsen passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Ogden, Utah of a stroke. She was born December 14, 1944 in Logan, Utah, the oldest child of Frank Howard Hadley and Della Bartlett. DeeAnn grew up in Plain City, attended Plain City Elementary, Wahlquist Junior High, and graduated from Weber High in 1964. She later graduated from Weber State College, with a major in Child Development and minor in Family Relations. She married Ronald Leon Larsen August 13, 1965 in the Logan LDS Temple and together they were the parents of seven children. Her children and 18 grandchildren were always the main focus of her life. Nothing gave her greater joy than the many hours spent in visiting with them. Her children and grandchildren’s friends and dates would also seek out opportunities to visit with her. DeeAnn was a member of the Plain City 3rd Ward. Always active in the church, she served in many callings including Young Women’s softball coach, ward Young Women’s President, Primary Nursery Leader (which she loved), Primary Presidency, Relief Society Presidency, and Stake Librarian. For several years she operated a pre-school in her home and owned a wedding decoration business. She was a talented seamstress, sewing many bridesmaid dresses and often being sought out to display her sewing skills. She also worked at Weber State as a bookstore clerk during every rush week for over 30 years. Surviving are her husband, Ron, sons: Scott and Caroline Larsen, Scottsdale, AZ; Greg Larsen, Plain City; Gary and Jackie Larsen, Clinton; daughters: Staci and Bryce Barker, North Ogden; Colette and Lee Doxey, Plain City; Cami and David Bryner, Ogden; Shalyce and Cody Gardner, Beaumont, CA; and 18 grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Blair and Leslie Hadley, Las Vegas, NV; Douglas and Diane Hadley, Ogden; and sister-in-law, Shawna Hadley-Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alan Hadley, and niece, BreAnn Hadley. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 20 at 11 a.m. at the Plain City Stake Center, 4630 West 2150 North. Friends and family may call at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd., on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday at the Stake Center from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Plain City Cemetery.
