SOUTH OGDEN a€" Delfa Pardini passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at Manor Care Nursing Center at the age of 88.

She was born November 2, 1920 in Torre del Lago Puccini, Italy, the daughter of Gino and Beppa Manfredi Orsi. She came to America in 1933.

On January 16, 1937, she married Anthony "Tony" Pardini in St. Joseph''s Catholic Church in Ogden, Utah. Together they raised three daughters and from this came 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. They were married for 70 and a half years before Tony''s passing in 2007.

She worked at Ardens Ladies Clothing Store in downtown Ogden and from there worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad for many years.

Delfa was a charter member of St. James Catholic Church and was very active as a Eucharistic Minister, on the Parish Council, participated in Choir, and taught many children in Religious Education classes for 30 years. She participated in several activities in the Church, receiving many accolades.

She loved to bowl, fish and especially doing her knitting and crocheting. Cooking Italian food was her biggest and best hobby. All of her hobbies were exceptionally accomplished.

Delfa leaves behind her three daughters, Anna Marie (Lewis) Atkinson, Rock Springs, WY; Antonette (Lester) Vaccari, San Bruno, CA; Angelina (Jerry) Alkema, Colorado and Arizona; and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her sister, Marta Martinelli, Millbrae, CA; sister-in-law, Laura Brinkman, Roy, UT; nieces, Barbara Burdick, Salt Lake City, UT; Lisa Martinelli Furr, CA; nephew, Michael Martinelli, CA; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, niece, Sidnee Merrill, her brother-in-law, Bob Martinelli and a great-great-granddaughter, Bryel Mliner.

Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 30 at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 495 North Harrison Blvd.

Friends may call at St. James Church on Wednesday from 7:15 to 9 p.m. where Holy Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
