HOOPER a€" Dell Hobson Hooper, 87, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at his home.

He was born June 16, 1924 in Ogden, Utah to George Douglas and Anice Hobson Hooper. He lived his entire in Hooper.

On April 3, 1947, Dell married Mary Elenora Fowers in Hooper. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. He was a member of the Pioneer Trail LDS Ward.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 33 years in addition to farming his entire life.

Dell loved to fish and golf. Later in life he enjoyed playing the organ.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Douglas Dell Hooper, Hooper; two grandchildren, Nicole C. Hooper and Glen C. Hooper, both of Houston, TX; two nieces, DeeAnn (Dee) Hemsley, Ogden; Ann (Terry) Park, West Point; and a nephew, Keith Bennett, Hooper.

Dell was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 5th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, with Bishop Dale R. Fowers, officiating.

The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
