Della Rose Lister Harvey


SALT LAKE CITY – Our beloved mother Della Rose Lister Harvey, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 24, 1931 in Springville, Utah the daughter of Carl Ray and Cynthia Irene Fullmer Lister. She grew up in Mount Emmons, Utah and lived throughout her life in Layton, Sunnyside, Vernal and Salt Lake City.

Della married Wallace Harvey on August 20, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they enjoyed raising their family, traveling and many family gatherings.

Mom was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Primary President, Primary Teacher and Visiting Teacher. Della was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Mom loved sewing, quilting, canning, cooking, traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Della was an avid BYU football fan and a friend to many people.

Surviving are her children, Brent (Janice) Harvey, West Point; Kathy (Glade) Wooley, Lapoint; Butch (Cindy) Harvey, Tridell; Sandra (Lee) Nelson, Brigham City; Camille (Stacey) Collatz, Layton; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Wallace, parents, three sisters and three brothers.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Tridell Cemetery, Tridell, Utah. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Tridell Ward Chapel.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Salt Lake Regional Hospital for their tender care of our mother.
