DelMar Wilcox Coleman

October 12, 1931 ~ June 30, 2017

DelMar was born in Logan, Utah, along with his twin sister, Darlene, to Ervin and Berniece Coleman of Smithfield, Utah. He has two brothers and three sisters which include another set of twins. DelMar was raised in Smithfield, Utah attending local schools and graduating from North Cache High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy serving from 1951 to 1955, where he was assigned to a troop transport ship during the Korean War. This afforded him the opportunity to visit many countries.

In May of 1955, DelMar married Nina Vee Corbridge, also from Smithfield, Utah in the Logan LDS Temple. They moved to Washington Terrace where they spent their entire lives and raised three sons.

DelMar worked for both Defense Depot Ogden and Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 1986 with 35 years of federal service. He was a member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions. He enjoyed his scouting service the most. He also enjoyed hunting and watching sports.

DelMar is survived by his wife, Nina, their sons, Doug (Sheri), Brent (Joan), Rex (Heather), seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, three brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law and a granddaughter. The family wishes to thank Hearts of Hospice and Mountain Ridge Assisted Living personnel for their help in making DelMar’s last few days as comfortable as possible.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
