DelMar Miller Nielsen

DelMar Miller Nielsen, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from an extended illness. He was born on September 23, 1928 to Vincent V. and Lillian Miller Nielsen in Richmond, Utah.

He served in the Navy during WWII. After serving for four years, he returned home and met the love of his life, Carol L. Wickham. They were married on March 23, 1951 in Richmond, Utah. After over 50 wonderful years together, 13 of those taking care of her, Carol passed away from Huntington''s in 2008.

DelMar worked as a meat cutter at Albertsons and Smiths. He loved fishing and camping with family and friends, especially Scott and MaryLee Goodwin and his special fishing buddy, Darline. His wonderful famous Dutch oven spuds will be truly missed. DelMar was always giving to those he loved. Dad, Grandpa, and Brother you will be missed!

DelMar is survived by his son, Craig Nielsen, West Haven; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Val Nielsen, Salt Lake and sisters, Dorthy Argyle, Clearfield and MaryLee Goodwin, Cornish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 2 brothers.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
