LAYTON a€" Delmar Lee Peterson, 71, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010.

He was born August 20, 1938 in Tacoma, Washington the son of Clarence Eric and Della Thornton Peterson.

Delmar served in the US Air Force.

He married Juanita S. Melcher in June 1985. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2004.

Survived by his daughter, Joyce (William) Skaggs, son, Eric (Jennifer) Peterson, grandchildren, Justin, Lyddia and Joshua Skaggs, Austin and Averi Peterson, step-daughters, Dolores A. (Troy) Hansen, Melissa Melcher, Leah Griffin, step-grandchildren, Shalayne (Brad) Weathers, Steven Best, Glen (Cora) Best, Stephanie Best, Shona Rae Best, great-grandchildren, Jordon, Oaklee, Jasmine, Jackie, William, Jerek, and Janessa.

Preceded in death by his step-great-grandchild, Jacob Best.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
