Delores Merrill passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 87 on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. She was the second oldest child of Lynn and Nora Miller. She was born July 26, 1934 in Anaconda, Montana.

She was a loving wife of 44 years to Max J. Merrill who preceded her in death.

Delores was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was sealed to her husband Max in the Logan Temple.

She worked for Weber School District for over 35 years. She worked at Bonneville High School for many of those years and was beyond proud to be a Laker. During her time there, she made an impact on the lives of many students and created everlasting friendships.

Delores was an avid reader and went through stacks of books from her local library. She passed that love of reading on to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and was known for always having beautiful flowers and an impeccable yard. Delores was famous for her jams and chocolate zucchini bread. Her grandkids would always beg to take some of both home after every visit! She loved spending time with her family most of all.

Delores is survived by her two children, Ned (Veronica) Merrill and Andrea (Gary) Loveland. She is also survived by five granddaughters, Alyssa (Antwone), Aubriana (Brody), Katlin, Zhoe, and Willow; as well as three great-grandchildren, Alaina, Kayden, and Karter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family of Delores would like to thank the individuals at the Hidden Valley Assisted Living facility for the care and service they offered her.
