DEMETRIO VICENTE FOTI SR.
1942-2014
Bountiful, Utah- Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend Demetrio Vicente Foti, Sr., passed away on August 20, 2014 from natural causes. He was 72 years old.
Demetrio was born June 15, 1942 in Salt Lake City, UT to Andrew and Fedelina Foti. As a child he grew up in Mancos, CO and Salt Lake City, UT. While living in Mancos, CO he played on his high school basketball team.
Demetrio enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. After his service he went on to become a General Contractor working in Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California.
Demetrio enjoyed life. He loved to snow ski, water ski, go camping, hunting and especially fishing. His favorite fishing spot was Strawberry Reservoir. He passed on his love of fishing to his children.
He is survived by his sons; Demetrio (Brenda) Foti , Vicente (Eileen) Foti; daughter, Cheyenne Foti (Oscar Urcino), and step daughters Ramona (Francisco) Sanchez, Debbie Perez, Carol (Doug) Hansen,Tracy Dockery; sisters, Carol (Oliver) Foti-Smith, LoRetta Quintana, Beverly (Richard) Randal; grandchildren, Brandon Foti, Brittany Foti, Melissa Foti, Demetrio (DJ) Foti, and numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Andrew Foti, brother, Andrew Archibeque, step granddaughter Chantelle Kelly, step great grandchild Brandon Padgett.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East where friends may visit with family from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery 2224 South 200 West.
