Demetrios Sialaris “Jim”, 56, of Logan, Utah passed away peacefully in his home on May 7, 2017.  He was born on July 6, 1960 to George and Mary Sialaris in Montreal, Canada.  They soon naturalized to the US and eventually settled in San Jose, California.  He grew up with a close knit Greek Family; he attended the Greek school at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in San Jose, CA.  Demetrios was extremely social and would surround himself with friends.  He was the friend you could call for anything and he loved to give advice and encouragement.  He graduated from Willow Glen High School in 1979, then attended San Jose City College.  He worked many years for his father and his Uncle Pete's businesses throughout the bay area.

Jim and Betty eventually settled in Franklin, Idaho where they raised their two daughters, Christina and Angela Sialaris for 26 years.  During that time Demetrios worked with his father at the ranch, he had a passion for raising animals and working outdoors.  He loved hunting, 4 wheeling, and spending time with his two sweethearts.  When they sold the ranch, Demetri began a courier service that ran from Logan, Utah to Salt Lake City, Utah for several years.  He gave that up to work with his younger cousin Demetri in San Leandro, CA selling marble, granite, and tile throughout the bay area.  Most recently he was doing the same work that he loved out of Seattle, WA with his brother Peter and his cousin Demetri.  What made him the happiest in life was spending time with his grandson, Aeson.
