Denise Schaerer Bishop

CLINTON–Denise Schaerer Bishop, 70, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022. She was born April 5, 1952 in Ogden, to Henry George and Frances June Schaerer. She was a graduate of Bonneville High School. She worked at Hill AFB with 36 ½ years of service.

Denise married Steven Russell Bishop, her soulmate and friend of 45 years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Denise loved her family with all her heart and soul. If she was with us today, she should ask us not to mourn her death but to celebrate her life. She would tell us to love our families unconditionally and to hold them close because in the end they are all that matters. She would always say, “If you don’t have family, you have nothing”.

She enjoyed fishing, camping, shopping, and gardening. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and holidays and the food that came with it.

Denise is survived by her husband, Steve of Clinton; her children, Shelly (Todd) Williams, Jason (Wendi) Bishop, and Kelly (Thomasina) Bishop; her grandchildren, Jessica, Britney, Melissa, Cali, Jaden, and Caulen; six great-grandchildren; and her two sisters and very best friends, Pat (Dave) Hurst and Linda (Tom) Graham. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
