Dennis Leslie Cook

Dennis Leslie Cook passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at his home in Syracuse from Parkinson’s surrounded by his family. He was born in Ogden, Utah to Leslie P. And Beulah T. Cook. He was the second of six children, after high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany with the 50th infantry until his discharge in March of 1962.
Dennis and Sharon Child were married on June 1, 1962 and were together for 58 years. They raised their three children, Joy, Tammy, and Dennis Jr., in Syracuse.
Dennis enjoyed camping, hunting, horseback riding with family and friends, he also enjoyed chariot racing.
Dennis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dennis is survived by his wife Sharon, daughters; Joy Lynn Marston (Mike), Tammy Lee Harris (Calvin), and son Dennis Jr. (Kim). Three brothers; Val (Pat) Cook of Syracuse, Gary (Sheila) Cook of Layton, Kevin (Sue) Cook of Hooper, one sister ShuRee (Larry) Kerr of Syracuse. Dennis has six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, brother Brent and son-in-law Mike Marston.
The family would like to express their gratitude to IHC Hospice along with Cassie and Becky, their professional love and care.
A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Monday, March 22, 2021 at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 S. 2000 W. Syracuse, Utah from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
