Dennis Ray Forsgren
WEST POINT a" Dennis Ray Forsgren, 59, our beloved father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 17, 2008.
Dennis was born November 11, 1948, the son of Wallace and Ella Harris Forsgren. He was raised in North Ogden and graduated from Weber High School.
He married Susan Kay Opheikens on September 9, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and they had two children, Shaylyn and Chad.
Dennis worked at Hill Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic and retired with 30 years of service. He served with the United States Air Force Reserves and retired with 20 years of service to his country. He was currently employed with the Utah Alcohol Beverage Control and Tony Divino Toyota.
Dennis worked hard his entire life, sometimes working three to four jobs at one time and still was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was extremely friendly, well-known, and loved being around family and friends. He loved life as well as fishing, dancing, movies, snow and water skiing, coin collecting, and classic cars.
He is survived by his children: Shaylyn (Collins) Taylor and Chad Dennis Forsgren, both of Ogden; four grandchildren he adored and loved: Jaimie, Jessica, Jaden and Sherice; his sisters, Betty LaVern (Jim) Church, Marsha Lee (Gordon) Winter, Carolyn Forsgren, and Marilyn (Bill) Leatherwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother W. Wayne Forsgren.
Dad, we love you, and you will forever be missed.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will meet with friends at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park where Military Honors will be accorded.
