Dennis V. Hennessy
Dennis V. Hennessy died March 13, 2013 in Ogden, UT. He was born June 7, 1923 in Kansas City, MO; to Laura Leota Reed and Dennis J. Hennessy. He was raised in Kansas City, and graduated from Central High School in 1941.
In 1946 Dennis wed Ligaya (Lil) Cruz in Manila, Philippines. She was the love of his life. She passed away in 2004.
He served in WWII in the Pacific Theater, he was discharged in 1946. He continued to work for the U.S. Army Air Corps as a civilian in the Philippines, Japan and Hawaii. He moved to Utah in 1958 and retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1979 after 36 years.
His interests were golfing, gardening and solving crypto quotes and crossword puzzles. In Dennis''s early days he climbed Mt. Fuji, and did fly fishing in Japan, white water rafting, ocean cruises, and camping with their trailer and motor home.
He was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sister, Anna Laura Barber of Kansas City, MO; numerous nephews and nieces, plus the extended family of his beloved Ligaya (Lil) in San Francisco. Dennis had many faithful friends especially Alan Miya.
