September 22, 1943 ~ February 8, 2017

Dennis Earl Loock passed away peacefully at home with his loving family, after battling Alzheimer’s.  Denny would like everyone to know that his work here on earth is complete.  He received a call he couldn’t refuse. This call comes with a huge sign-on bonus that includes reunions with many family and friends.  Dennis has gone to heaven to officiate the big game in the sky.

He married Barbara Munch; later divorced they were blessed with two daughters, Brandi and Danyel. On September 11, 1983 he married Thelma Johnson who was blessed with a son and a daughter, Michele and Marcus, and together they became a family.

Denny enjoyed his adventurous youth growing up in West Weber.

Dennis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He worked at Defense Depot Ogden and Hill Air Force Base in management, retiring with 38 years of service.

Dennis enjoyed officiating high school football and basketball, golfing with his buddies, relaxing with friends, going to grandchildren’s activities, and spending time with his family.

Dennis  is survived by his wife, Thelma; mother, Geri Loock; children, Brandi Roundy, Danyel (Dave) Brown, Michele (Nathan) Pilewicz-Bell, and Marcus (Mindy) Pilewicz; 12 grandchildren,  Koulton, Dalton, Kayla, Brooklen, Zacherie, Marcus, Bronsen, Brendon, Ashlen, Lincoln, Paisley, and Karlaanne; siblings, Linda (Bert) Opheikens, Kent (Tina) Loock, Barbara (Layne) Eddy, Sherry Uragami, and Christine (Paul) Stromberg.  He was preceded in death by his father, Max Loock; brother, Mike Loock; birth mother, LaDean Chase; and referee partners, James Green and Dennis Laughter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
