Dennis Vernon Richardson

July 5, 1943 ~ March 21, 2018

Dennis Vernon Richardson, age 74, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was born on July 5, 1943, to William Vernon Richardson and Una Mae Montgomery Richardson in Ogden, Utah.

On February 24, 1967, Dennis was married to Colleen Jensen in North Ogden, Utah. They were sealed on February 24, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Weber High School and retired from Hill Air Force Base after 34 years of service.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dennis loved to fish and hunt with all of his children. He loved to travel, eat and was a master wood worker.

He is survived by his wife, Colleen; daughters: Denise (Jon) Hargis, Roy, UT; Renee Ellis, Silver Spring, MD; Melinda (Alyn) Criddle, Idaho Falls, ID; sons: Bradley D. Richardson, Tremonton, UT; Cody Ray Richardson, Talent, OR and Matthew Aaron Richardson, Tooele, UT; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.  He is also survived by his sisters: Nila Hatch, Ogden, UT; Mary (Steve) Hallowell, Riverdale, UT; and his brother Paul (Cathie) Richardson, Mesquite, NV.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
