Denny Mansell

March 24, 1946 — January 13, 2018

Denny Mansell

Born in Los Angeles, California on March 24, 1946, Denny spent most of his childhood in Quincy, Calif. Shortly after high school, he married his close friend, Jenifer. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. They are the parents of seven children: Denny IV, Robert (Karyn), Gary, Eric (Jennifer), Thomas (Sarah), Shari (Matt) Baker, Lorena (Clint) Humpherys, and grandparents of twenty-one grandchildren.

Denny became interested in flying in 1967 and obtained his pilot's license. His love for flying lead him to a life of flight instruction and many volunteer positions in search and rescue with the Civil Air Patrol, where he served as commander of the Hill Air Force Base Squadron for many years.

Denny received his bachelor's degree from BYU and Master's from Embrey Riddle Aeronautical University, majoring in aviation.

A faithful member of the LDS Church, Denny and Jenifer recently completed a church service mission in Salt Lake City, serving in Family Search, which brought them great joy and was a highlight in their lives.

The hobbies that Denny enjoyed included woodworking, fishing, shooting, reloading and flying, all in which he was very proficient.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gary and William Mansell: granddaughter, Brooke Humpherys. He is so loved by his family and greatly missed.

Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
