Derielle D. McDowell
LAYTON a" Derielle D. McDowell, 90, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 surrounded by her family.
She was born November 25, 1920 in Berlin, New Hampshire a daughter of Ferdinand and Ophelia Boucher Dube''.
Derielle married Donald L. McDowell on February 7, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She retired from Hill Air Force Base as a communications operator.
Derielle was an artist and received many awards. She liked golfing, crocheting, playing pinochle with friends, spending time with friends at the Gardens Assisted Living and doing special, small things for family and friends. She spent 18 years wintering in Lake Havasu with her husband.
Surviving are her children, Barbara Houskeeper, Scott (Brenda) McDowell, Linda (Tony) Dobson, Louise (Roger) Wahlstrom, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Dan (Marie) Dube'' and George (Antonette) Dube''.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Ray (Ethel) Dube'', sister, Gerrie (Bill) Engler and son-in-law, William Houskeeper.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 9 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 So. Chapel Street, Layton. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Prayer service 7 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
