Derrick James Chapple loving son and brother passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2008.

He was born August 7, 1989 in Bountiful, Utah the son of William Chapple and Shonda Newman.

Derrick graduated from Northridge High School.

He was a loving person who wanted to work with challenged children and do social work. He loved his family, friends, hunting, fishing and music.

Surviving are his father, William (Caroline) Chapple, Clinton; mother, Shonda Newman, Alaska; grandparents, Stella Hayes, Clinton; Carolee and Glen Snyder, Spanish Fork; two brothers, Kody Tuttle, Layton; Krieg Hayes USMC currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan; and three sisters, Cassandra (Anthony) Martinez, Clearfield; Breann Chapple, Clinton; and Shaelee Mok, West Valley.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Clinton Cemetery, 800 No. 750 E. Friends and family may call Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
