Dessie Luke

Dessie Luke CLEARFIELD – Dessie Luke, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Davis Hospital and Medical Center. She was born September 1, 1920 in Manila, Utah the daughter of Don and Sara Etheleen Searle Twitchell. Dessie married Elvin Luke in Salt Lake on August 1943. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple in 1959. Her hobbies were bowling, crocheting dresses for dolls and cooking. She loved to work outside and planted a little garden each spring. Surviving are her two children, Linda Mae Lucas, Gerald Elvin Luke, 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elvin and daughter, Luellen Fae Tolson. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse City Cemetery, 1290 So. 1000 W. Funeral directors, Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
