Devin Alexander Velasquez

SYRACUSE – Devin Alexander Velasquez, 21, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Layton, Utah.

He was born March 31, 1994 the son of Michael and Sheila Ann Moon Velasquez.

He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Devin had just begun his career with ATK.  He was a recent graduate from the DATC in Aerospace Structures Composite Materials Technology Program.

He liked music, taking care of animals, bicycling and fishing.

Surviving by his parents, sister Micaela, Uncle David Velasquez, Aunt Cindy Velasquez, Great-Uncle Mike Velasquez, grandmothers, Doris Moon, Linda Miller of North Carolina; and numerous other family members.

Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank Moon, Charles Velasquez, James Miller and his favorite dog Chester.

Memorial services will be held Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
