DeVoo Newman

DeVoo Newman, 85, passed away Friday, December 14, 2007.

He was born March 14, 1922 in Tremonton, Utah to Jeff and Martha Frasier Newman.

On August 28, 1946, DeVoo married Katharine Widmer in Ogden, Utah. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2003.

He served in the United States Army during World War II.

DeVoo is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed gardening and camping.

DeVoo is survived by a grandson, Randy (Tricia) Thompson; five great-grandchildren, Alex, Preston, Connor, Jonah, Emmalee; and two sisters, Theola (LaVar) Spackman and Jane (D.L.) Thurman.

Including his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, DeeAnn Newman Thompson and a brother, Clive Newman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19th at 1 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends and family may call Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
