Our beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Dexter Stewart Brown of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Centerville, Utah passed away on November 15, 2012 in Centerville, UT.
He was born April 3, 1924 to Elmer and Mary "Anna" Brown in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He married Peggy Marie Ward on June 15, 1947.
He had a great love for his country and proudly served in World War II, Korean, and Vietnam wars. He finished his distinguished military career as a Senior Master Sergeant with the Wyoming Air National Guard.
He dearly loved his hometown of Cheyenne. He was very active in the Shriners, Freemasonry, Kiwanis Club, and Meals on Wheels and was known to help many people without having to be asked. He was truly blessed with the gift of serving others. Everyone we know has said what a kind and caring man he was.
His loving wife Peggy preceded him in death January 13, 2005. He is survived by his son, Kevin (Doreen) Ward Brown of Centerville, Utah and his daughter Kerry Lu Kuling of Longview, Washington; and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
We are so grateful for all our dad has done for our family. In his final days we have been especially grateful for the last of life''s lessons that he taught. We look forward to the day when we will be reunited as an eternal family. We love you dad!
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Beth El Cemetery, Cheyenne, Wyoming (weather permitting).
The family is grateful to wonderful people of Applegate Hospice and the Beehive Home in Centerville, Utah who helped provide support to our family, and love, comfort and joy to him in his last months.
Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E.
