Dian Giovo
1948-2011
Dian Louise Ackley Giovo, 63, passed peacefully Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City. After a nearly 40-year battle with rheumatoid arthritis, she succumbed to complications following a recent surgery.
A loving mother and grandmother, she was a retired seamstress and social services case worker in Oswego County, New York. A resident of West Wendover, Nevada, she was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wendover Branch. She served an LDS mission in Riverside, California and received her temple blessings in Washington, D.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Jack Jr. (Donna), Andy (Kristy) and Ron (Michelle); sister, Bobby Lou Christensen (John); brothers, David (Joan), Don (Karen) and Bill; grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Tucker, Wesley, Alexandria and Donald.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd, South Ogden.
