Diane Heitz, 64, long time resident of Glen Ellyn, Illinois passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007.

She was born March 23, 1943 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of William Arthur and Audrey Clayton Larsen, the middle child of five children. She was raised and educated in Ogden where she graduated from Ogden High School.

Diane attended the University of Utah and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Following college she married William H. Heitz in 1964. Clay Heitz, their only son, was born in August 1967. Diane and Bill have lived in Schaumburg, Illinois; Phoenix, Arizona; Chesterfield, Missouri; and Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

Diane was active in the Glen Ellyn Historical Society, and had many friends in every city she lived in. She was a very loving, compassionate, giving and positive person throughout her life, a friend that could always be counted on. She enjoyed outdoor activities and loved to travel. She was especially close to her two sisters who stayed close to her even though they lived some distance away.

Surviving are her husband, William H. Heitz, her son, Clay Heitz, his wife, Leslie Heitz, and her grandson, Wm Hunter Heitz. Diane is also survived by two sisters, Lois Denny (Ray), Ogden, Utah; Fran Sina Young (Larry), Georgetown, Texas; and by two brothers, David Larsen (Ellen), Cleburne, Texas; and William Larsen (Becky), Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Audrey Larsen.

Friends may pay their respects and meet with the family at the Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday, September 7th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 8th at 11 a.m. at the Logan Cemetery, with Paul Hovey conducting the services.
