ROY – Dianna Lee Purfeerst Teel, 46, was called home suddenly by her Heavenly Father on Saturday, April 19, 2008.
She was born March 7, 1962 in Seattle, Washington, a daughter of Harmon Axle Purfeerst and Gloria Bell Twait.
On October 31, 1986, she married David Jerome Teel in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
While Dianna grew up in Seattle, she traveled the world as a military wife.
Her sons, Terry Lee and David Lee, were the loves of her life, along with her husband David.
She and her husband were considered “second parents” to many kids from North Carolina to California.
Dianna enjoyed gardening, NASCAR racing, Pepsi, and taking care of her family.
She influenced and enriched the lives of many people from coast to coast.
She is survived by her husband and one son, David, both of Roy; her brother, Daryl Wayne Purfeerst, of the Seattle area; stepsons, Brandon and his wife Leasha Teel, of the St. Louis area, and Christopher and his wife Anna Teel, Sierra Vista, AZ; niece, Stephanie Purfeerst and nephew, Tyler Purfeerst, both of the Seattle area; three grandchildren, Landen Matthew Teel, Brynnen Turner Elizabeth Teel, and Charles R.W. Teel.
Also surviving are Terry and David’s Godparents and extended family, Wade and Lauri Murray. Aunts and uncles Babe and Lajean, Lavern and Bob, and Anne and Mel; as well as cousins James, Patty and John.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Terry, who passed away on January 13, 2002.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23rd at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Family will greet friends at the mortuary Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 2:45 p.m.
Interment at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
