Dick Brent Jardine

September 22, 1951 ~ November 11, 2018

Dick Brent Jardine, 67, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle of five decades on November 11, 2018. He was surrounded by those who loved him most. He was born September 22, 1951 in Ogden, Utah to Dick H. and Norene Anderson Jardine. He lived his entire life in Ogden and North Ogden. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1969. Dick served an LDS Mission in Tulsa, Oklahoma. On May 17, 1973 he married the love of his life, Sandra Jane Tracy in the Ogden Utah Temple.

Dick’s life was one of miracles and trials. He was an exceptional athlete. Dick lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track for all three years of high school. He received the Black Watch Award and has secured a position on the Wall of Fame in Ben Lomond High School. He continued his athletic career playing football at Brigham Young University. That career was cut short by an automobile accident.

Against all odds he recovered from this accident and went on to live a fulfilling life. His greatest love was his family. Dick was inspiration to all who met him. His positive attitude left others feeling uplifted and strengthened. He was loved by many and was a friend to all. We all will miss his positive outlook on life and his triumph over difficult situations.

Dick is survived by his loving wife, Sandi; his children, Lance Dick Jardine, Nicole Marie Jardine, and Kacey Brent (McKell) Jardine; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Kendell and Hagen Jardine. He is also survived by his parents, Dick H. and Norene Jardine; brother, Bruce Dean (Diane) Jardine; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the many doctors, nurses, therapist and aides who showed Dick outstanding care and compassion through the many years of difficulties.
