LAYTON a€" Dick Hideki Kishimoto passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 15, 2007 of a heart ailment with his family by his side.

Dick was born November 1, 1930 in Fresno, California a son of Kazuo and Izumi Kishimoto. His family moved to Utah in 1945 after spending a few years in the Gila Relocation Center in Arizona during World War II. He attended Davis High School and graduated in 1949.

Dick married Kiyomi Mamabe on October 26, 1969 in Hiroshima, Japan. He was a hard working person and worked as an electronics technician for 40 years at Hill Air Force Base and retired in 1990. After retirement he worked at Nichols Greenhouse for 10 years.

He was an honest person, generous to others, and was known as ''Cha-Cha'' to his closest friends. He was active throughout his life and enjoyed bowling, golfing, photography, watching sports, reading, and spending time with his family, friends, and dog ''Shiro''. He enjoyed various trips across the US with the Seniors Association and monthly trips to Wendover. He was a member of the Ogden Buddhist Church, treasurer of Northern Utah JACL, and Davis Hospital Seniors Association.

Dick is survived by his wife Kiyomi; son Kevin, San Diego, CA; brother Tom Kishimoto, Plain City; two sisters, Mary Sayama, Tremonton and Patty Kishimoto, Los Angeles, CA; two nephews, Fred Sayama and Paul Kishimoto; four nieces, Julia Nagata, Elaine Endo, Lillian Stenquist, and Nina Kishimoto.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday August 21, 2007 at 2pm at Lindquist''s Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd, Layton, UT. Family and friends may call at the mortuary one hour prior to the services.
