Dillon James Whitney, 16, passed away in Salt Lake City Sunday, November 25, 2007. He was born October 7, 1991 to Destry Wade and Donna Marie Bithell Whitney in Las Vegas, NV.

His mother Donna was the light of his life, along with his great grandmother Ida, with whom he had very special relationships.

A special thanks to Uncle Chris and Aunt Vicky Marcus and their family for all the love and care given to Dillon over the years. Dillon moved from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City with his mother when he was 11 years old. He enjoyed visits to Southern CA to see his dad, where they enjoyed basketball and the beach.

Dillon loved basketball; his favorite NBA player was Kobe Bryant of the L.A. Lakers. Dillon was loyal to his friends and loved his family. He loved his little sister Serenity and she meant the world to him.

Survived by his parents, grandparents, Lynn (Judy) Bithell, Fruit Heights; and Howard (Dianne) Whitney, Philippines; he is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins. Preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Clyde and Ida Raney.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call 1 hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
