Dixie Lee Olgesby

January 9, 1939 ~ September 11, 2014

Dixie Lee Oglesby was born on January 9, 1939 in Ogden to Donald R. and Margaret N. Holden.  She passed away on September 11, 2014 from a massive stroke.

Mom graduated from Ogden High School in 1957.

She married W. Claude McMillen on September 9, 1957.  They were later divorced.  She married Bob Oglesby and later divorced.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  She was a member of Queen Esther #4 Order of Eastern Star, Lybia Temple #32 Daughters of the Nile, Ogden Nile Club, and PEO.

Dixie is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Ann) McMillen; daughter, Amanda (Kevin) Gable; five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, she was called “Gigi” by her nine great-grandchildren, sister, Susan McMurrin and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Michael Holden.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, 1275 East Fairfax Rd., Salt Lake City UT 84103.
