Dixie Helen Tubbs

On June 15, 2014, Dixie Helen Tubbs left this world to follow a new trail; to find her dreams that are as big as the Western sky she loved.

Dixie had a soft spot in her heart for animals and was currently working on her degree at SUU in Veterinary Medicine, focusing on Equestrian Medicine, to allow her to specialize in acupuncture for horses.

She was an avid reader and clothes shopper. Dixie had a sense of style that was matched by no other. She loved word puzzles and anything that had to do with the cowboy life style. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her nephew and nieces, Drake, Lily and Paisley.

Dixie is survived by her mom, Michelle Tubbs, step-dad, Dusty Rowland; brothers, Drew (Kamille) Tubbs, Joseph Conrad (Nikki) Tubbs, step-sister, Sage Rowland; grandma, ShaRon Nelson Williams, grandparents, Roy and Marilyn Tubbs; nephew, Drake Tubbs, nieces, Lily Tubbs and Paisley Tubbs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Matt Fife Tubbs and grandfather, Conrad P. Nelson.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Shannette and Dixie’s many special friends.

There will be a gathering for family and friends, to remember Dixie, on Friday, June 20, 2014, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the West Weber 1st Ward, 4100 West 900 South, Ogden, Utah.
