Dolores “Lori” Burnett Bailey

Dolores “Lori” Burnett Bailey passed away peacefully Friday March 24, 2017 at her home in South Ogden, Utah from complications of pneumonia and congestive heart failure.

She was born on July 15, 1930 to James and Anna Burnett in Ogden, Utah. Her family lived in Pleasant View where she grew up and attended Weber High School.

Lori worked for Swift & Company in Ogden and then Farmers Grain Co-Op in Ogden for over 20 years until she retired.

On April 30, 1954, Lori married Norm Heslop and spent almost 30 years supporting him in their dairy business and caring for her beloved pets. Norm passed away on November 23, 1984. Lori married Lee Bailey on May 10, 1985 and they shared their lives together until Lee’s death on June 22, 2010.

Lori was a very selfless person who loved her pets, gardening and helping others. She was a true Lady and will be missed by all who knew her.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents James Martin Burnett and Anna Eliza Chamberlain Burnett, brothers Bill Burnett, Joseph Burnett, Delbert Burnett, Douglass Burnett and sisters Faye Burnett, Wilma Scovil, and Bonnie Swenson.

Lori is survived by her younger sister Sylvia Huffaker (Vernon), stepson Gary Bailey (Debbi), stepdaughters Wanda Denhalder, Susan McMillan, Jean Bridge (Stewart), Julie Jugler, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
