Dolores Clay

Dolores Tressa Clay passed away on January 1, 2015 in Ogden, UT. She was born August 17, 1936 to Julius J. Vizi and Teresa Ardini in Colver, PA. She was married to Ronald Gratten Clay on September 15, 1959 in Denton, MD and together they raised three wonderful children. They lived wherever her military husband’s duty called them.

Dolores worked as a registered nurse in various places, but her last eighteen years were spent at Clearfield Job Corps, until retiring in 1998. She enjoyed crocheting afghans.

Dolores is survived by her husband and children Sharon (Lee) Oswalt, Ronald (Melissa) Clay, and Jerry (Linda) Clay, as well as six grandsons, two granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, and sister Joyce (Steve) McIntyre. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother James Vizi, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.

A special thanks goes out to the first responders in Layton, UT and the ER staff at Ogden Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel St, Layton, UT. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road, with a rosary at 7:30.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
