Don “Levi” Anderson, 91, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at his home.
He was born July 10, 1920 in Richfield, Utah to Levi and Mina Merelda Jones Anderson.
He was raised and educated in Mt. Pleasant. He graduated from Weber State College with a Bachelor’s Degree.
On September 25, 1959, Levi married Roma Barker in the Logan LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on May 30, 2004. As a member of the LDS Church, he served in many callings, and enjoyed serving as librarian.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a jack-of-all trades and enjoyed his Ham radio.
Levi is survived by his children, RoLene (Robert) Preator, North Ogden ; Donel (Jody) Anderson, Willard; Eldon Levi (Wendy) Anderson, Ogden;; 14 grandchildren, Bradley (Nicole) Spencer, Joshua Anderson, Andria Spencer, Steven (Alex) Anderson, Jennica Anderson, Tyson Anderson, Sierra Anderson, Sara Spencer, Landon Anderson, Katie Spencer, Jared Anderson, Cassidy Anderson, CarrolAnn Anderson, Wyatt Anderson; a brother, Jay (Lorraine) Anderson, West Haven; and three sisters, Rae Christensen, No. Salt Lake City; Augusta Bea Wright, Kearns; Louise Seeley Smith, Portland, OR; and a sister-in-law, Linda (Gene) Watson, Uintah.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a sister, JoAnn Dyer and six step-brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 21st at 11 a.m. the Taylor Ward Chapel, 2200 South 4300 West, with Bishop Tom Rogers, officiating.
The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Willard Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded.
