Don O. Lunt
LAYTON – Don O. Lunt, 78, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 08 at Orchard Cove in Bountiful.
He was born on November 7, 1929 in Nephi the son of Alonzo Lorraine and Mabel Ruth Owen Lunt.
Don served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He married Corrine Miller in 1950 in Price, Utah. They were later divorced. He married Marjorie Dott Peterson on January 6, 1953 in Lincoln City, Nevada. She preceded him in death on August 26, 1993.
Don was reared and educated in Nephi and had resided in the Layton and Ogden area for the past 40 years.
He retired from HAFB after 32 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Don was a devoted husband and father. He was a member of the Layton VFW.
Surviving are three sons, Lee Lunt, Mackay, ID; Rodney Lunt, Ogden; Craig (Dana) McCleod, Ogden; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother, Jerry (Edith) Lunt, Spokane, WA; and two sisters, Margaret Christiansen, St. George; and Darlene Howard, San Diego, CA.
Preceded in death by his wife Marjorie and brother, Max Lunt.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 9:30 to10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road where military honors will be accorded.
