Don Carlos Walker

Don Carlos, 89, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 at his home in Hooper.

He was born May 1, 1928 in Brigham City, Utah to Heber L. and Ethel Wheatley Walker.

On February 21, 1947, Don married LeAnna Talbot in Roy, Utah, the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 2, 1965. She preceded him in death December 19, 2013.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He worked for Parson Ready Mix Companies for 31 years.

Don was a member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed hunting and loved horses and rides in the mountain and spending time with the love of his life, LeAnna. During his younger years, he was a bareback rider.

Don is survived by his children, Mac Walker (Vicki), Morgan; Rick Walker (Lorna), Clearfield; Dianna Howell (Ken), Clearfield; Cindy Blair (Charles), Kaysville; Debbie Jones, California; Wendy Taufer (Jim), Hooper; 33 grandchildren,  106 great-grandchildren, 13.5 great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, three sisters, parents, one grandson and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Hooper Homestead Ward Chapel, 5375 South 5900 West. The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
