Don Yanagibashi

February 11, 1941 ~ January 9, 2019

Don H. Yanagibashi, 77, passed away on Jan 9, 2019. He was born in Santa Maria, CA on Feb 11, 1941 to Masao and Taeko Yanagibashi. Don graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1959.

He then went into the Army.  After the Army Don met the love of his life Kathy Sharon Moran.  They were married on January 31, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He worked as an aircraft mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. Don enjoyed music, dancing and astronomy. He would take his grandkids to the senior center in order to teach them how to dance “rock ‘n’ roll.” He also loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. He was a great dad and a wonderful grandfather who always put his family first. He always made sure everyone had their ducks lined up.

Don is survived by his son Lee (Charleen), daughter Pam (Chris) Dreyer, grandchildren Austin, Madison, and Peyton Dreyer and Kai Yanagibashi, Mother Taeko Yanagibashi, brother Bob Yanagibashi, sisters Sally Yamaguchi, Kay (Jimmy) Watanabe and Naomi Yamashita, and niece Jennifer (Nate) Watanabe-Carter, nephew Shane Watanabe.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his father.
