Dona Jean Moon

LAYTON – Dona Jean Moon, 77, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Rocky Mountain Care in Clearfield. She was born October 28, 1930 to James D. and Maudeen Cress Trask in Wasta, SD. Dona Jean traveled throughout the world as a career military officer’s wife, and lived in Utah for the last 30 years. Dona Jean married John T. Moon on September 29, 1951 in Evanston, WY. She loved her role as homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bridge with her friends, and was an avid reader. She also enjoyed watching NFL football and golf. Survived by sons, David and wife Laura Moon, Atlanta, GA; James and wife Ruth Moon, Colorado Springs, CO; William and wife Susan Moon, Clearfield, UT; Scott and wife Denise Moon, Layton, UT; daughter, Kelly Moon, Hooper, UT; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and one brother. Memorial services will be held at the Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main Thursday, at 11 a.m. April 24, 2008. Visitation will be held at 10:15 a.m. the day of the service.
