Donald Peter Brennan passed away at home with family at his bedside on Friday, November 9, 2012. Donald was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 8, 1932
He served honorably in the United States Navy from March 6, 1952 to February 27 1956 and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal.
He married Carol Rae Larson in Chicago, Illinois 1953 and later divorced August 1977.
Donald married Lynda Packer February 2, 1979 in Kent, Ohio. He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on March 7, 1998. Donald and Lynda were sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple for time and eternity on April 24, 1999.
He served a two year mission with his wife Lynda at the Family History Center in Ogden. He has researched and accomplished temple work for hundreds of his family members. He served as membership clerk for several years and most recently serviced a mission at the River Parkway Ward.
His career has primarily been in real estate and construction in the food industry with Katz Drug Stores, Kansas City, Missouri; Skaggs Albertsons Food Stores, Salt Lake City, Utah; Fisher Fazio Foods, Inc. Cleveland, Ohio and Biehn Construction, Inc., Quaker Town, Pennsylvania.
Donald is survived by his wife, Lynda Brennan; brother, Peter (Kathryn) Brennan; daughters from his first marriage, Laura Carol (Robert) Kearns, Dallas, Texas; Bonnie Christine (Lei) Song, New Winsor, New York; step-children, Jeffrey James (Tina) Steeger, Clancy, Montana; and Shelly Jean (Brian) Schwoyer, Kearns, Utah; and 5 grandchildren, Jodie Brough Johnson, Jessica Lynn Steeger, Hailey Jo Steeger, Zander James Schwoyer and Alexis Ruth Schwoyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter John Brennan and Vincenza Morocco.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ Chapel, 1550 Rushton Street, Ogden, Utah. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
