Donald Darvin Brose was born on June 18th 1937 in North Dakota to RC and Edna Brose. He worked hard as a youth on his family farm and then proudly served in the U.S. Army as a tank gunner.
Don married Carol Jean Hildenbrand in 1961 In Fessenden, North Dakota and together they welcomed 5 children; Tim - Missouri, Veronica (preceded Don in death 3/26/2015), Mike (Sheree) Kaysville, Jason (Michelle) Missouri, and Brandon (Teddy) Virginia.
In 1995 Don met and married Glenna Lee Turman in Bountiful, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Bountiful Temple. He gained another wonderful family including Marc Turman (Sara) South Jordan, Amy van Uitert (Brian) Layton, Brandon Turman (Jami) Heber City, Brett Turman (Betsy) Denver, Cody Turman (Tiffany) Kaysville and Ashlee Turville (Jeff) Kaysville. Don also left 35 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who love him dearly. In his younger years, Don loved boating on Lake Powell with his family and when he first met Glenna they had a very memorable trip to Lake Powell, which they both loved. Don had a big heart and loved to help people and inspire his children to strive for excellence.
Don came from a lineage of blacksmiths and was a self- educated masterful engineer. He ran Brose Tool and Engineering for many years.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
