Donald Richard Bush
1930 ~ 2021
Donald Richard Bush passed away on April 7, 2021 and is in the hands of our loving Lord. Those who knew him best called him Don. Don was born in Hyndman, PA. in 1930. Don attended Hyndman High School and graduated from University of Phoenix with a degree in Business. Don was a Veteran of the Korean War and a Regional Commander of the American Legion.
Don’s love of his country, the American Legion, and his love for family were his biggest life accomplishments. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Bush; his son, David R. Bush; and two brothers, Jake Bush and June Bush. Don is survived by his wife, Marsha Bush and they dearly loved each other; his sister, Ethel (Bush) Goodwin; and his son, Keith D. Bush. He was also dearly loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Don traveled around the world in his professional career. A businessman, inventor, entrepreneur, village councilman, chemist, and Director for Rio Verde Utilities Inc. in Arizona. During his career Don was associated with Ferro, Vitro, and Glidden Corporation. Don was instrumental in developing patents for items such as spread satin paint, the green chalk board, and shatter-proof glass, just to list a few. Don’s own business, Color Hue, was in the glass ceramic industry. Don’s knowledge while working at Rio Verde Utilities enabled him to be associated with the Clean Water Action Plan under President Clinton. Don was chosen for this committee despite the fact he was a Republican. Don was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery. Services will be livestreamed by scrolling to the bottom of this obituary page.
The family extends special thanks to hospice and all of the caregivers that took care of Don in the last days of his life.
